  The people and leadership of Mountain Valley Baptist Church are very genuine and obviously seek to serve people.
  
  The teaching and application of God's word is surely Spirit-led and comes from the heart of the pastor, not based on the political hotpoints of the times.
  
  The music/worship is a great mixture between high church hymns and contemporary worship tunes. The hymns are restructured to remain reverent to the message yet strike at the heart of the worshipper, the newer tunes are presented in a fashion that refrains from the tendency of "hype" in today's praise band setting. It is just this...simple worship in spirit and from the truth by the washing of the water of the Word of God.
  
  If you are looking for a smaller, intimate setting that is reverent and surrendered to God's will, visit Mount Valley Baptist in Montevallo.
